You guys the IRS scandal hearings are on the TV at my office and I can’t focus because Rep. Kenny Marchant’s hair is so white I can’t stop looking at it. It’s glorious and glowing under the lights! Available June 1, possibly sooner. We’re in Bushwick, minutes from the Morgan L and just blocks from the Myrtle JMZ. It’s only a couple stops from Williamsburg, and it takes about 30 min to get to Union Square / Chelsea / Flatiron, 20 to the Lower East Side and Chinatown. The area’s starting to take off now, with several new restaurants and bars within a block of us. There’s a great coffee place called Little Skip’s on our block, and there’s lots of nice delis and bodegas around.

The apartment:
This spacious home has hardwood floors, lots of windows, a patio, central air, a dishwasher, a jacuzzi bathtub AND a washer and dryer. We’re a quick elevator ride to the 5th floor - just one floor below the enormous roof deck with an amazing view of Manhattan. In the summer, there are occasionally parties up there, and the building’s other residents are great. The best thing is you can’t hear the parties from our apartment.

We have an HDTV with cable internet and broadcast TV. There’s also a Boxee Box for streaming Netflix and other video.

The room:
It’s a medium-sized room, big enough that our roommate has a queen-sized bed and a giant set of shelves in there.

Us:
We range in age from 25-32. Chris is a registrar with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater who writes and performs improv and sketch comedy. Jordan is a creative type who is the most fun. We both devour the internet and British nonsense. We have different work schedules and are busy people, so we frequently each have time to ourselves. We don’t smoke, but we do drink. We know things about beer and wine. Oh, and cooking. That’s fun.

Chris’ cat Biscuit lives here as well, and she’s the most loving cat I’ve ever encountered.

You:
We’re looking for someone who is responsible but relaxed and who plays well with others. Basically, we want you to be cool with cleaning and paying bills. Smokers not preferred, but we’d consider it as long as all smoking is done on the balcony.

Move-in requires first month’s rent and security deposit of $750 each ($1500 total).

Remember when The Office landed the coveted post-Super Bowl slot? It was a breathe of fresh air after several years of hour long dramas (even though Kyle Chandler on Grey’s Anatomy was riveting). Sometimes you just want to laugh after watching your favorite team lose the most coveted game of football. And the show delivered show much comedy in 4 1/2 minutes that it was shocking this was the show that debuted to dismal/hateful reviews nearly five years before.

Unanswered plot question: How long had Angela been storing one of her cats in her filing cabinet?!

YES. NEVER FORGET THAT WHEN THE OFFICE WAS GOOD IT WAS BRILLIANT AND EVEN WHEN IT WAS BAD IT WAS STILL BETTER THAN 90% OF ALL OTHER SCRIPTED TELEVISION COMEDY.

WE SHALL POUR ONE OUT FOR THE OFFICE TONIGHT.
